Bathtub Safety Items

Bathtubs can be a fun place for your child if the proper safety items are in place. Some of the child safety items you should consider include:

Faucet Covers- Faucet covers are made of a soft, rubber product. They were designed to cover up the faucet, because many children have fallen and hit their faces, or heads, and sustained serious injuries. The safety faucet covers often look like animals or you may find your child’s favorite character. They do add fun and safety to any bathtub.

Infant Baths & Bath Safety Seats- Children under one year really do not have the coordination to prevent injuries in the bathtub. There are many bathtubs and safety seats that adhere to the bottom of the bathtub. These safety items keep the child safe and they also make bath time easier for the parent.

Splash Guards- Children love to splash in the bathtub and although parents try to prevent it, water almost always ends up outside of the tub. Even a small amount of water is dangerous for the parent and the child, because water causes people to slip easily. A splash guard spreads from one wall to the other and keeps the water inside. It rolls up for easy storage.

Bath Mats- Bath mats are soft and adhere to the bottom of a bathtub. There is a texture that does not allow children to easily slip or slide in the bathtub. Bath mats are great for children that have recently stopped using a bath safety seat. The mat helps them learn how to safely move around the bathtub.
